Little Bay Restaurant

A night at the Opera

For this week’s favourite tour, take a look at one of the quirkiest restaurants around. We've had the pleasure of creating a virtual tour with Little Bay Restaurant in Croydon, and the result is wonderfully bright and theatrical.Little Bay Restaurant

Peter Ilic opened the first Little Bay restaurant in Kilburn in 1992, and after receiving such positive comments and reviews from customers, he opened the South Croydon restaurant in 1998. There are also now branches in Battersea, Brighton, Belgrade and Farringdon.

Entertaining guests with live music is important at Little Bay, giving everyone a truly unique dining experience. James Ditchfield from Little Bay said: “Our Live Music nights are really quite special. Depending on the evening, we either have Live Opera entertainment or Live Folk music. Some people have been hesitant about having a live entertainer around them while they’re eating, but once they try it they’re hooked.”

Balconies & BoothsDecadent décor

Little Bay restaurants have one theme running throughout them all – the opera! As you can see from the virtual tour, rich red is the colour of focus in the restaurant with gold detailing, wooden staircases and velvet, creating a luxurious feel.

To keep the opera theme alive, you can even dine in one of their boxes. If the heights aren’t for you, there is plenty of other seating throughout the restaurant. Many of the tables are hidden away in corners with velvet curtains providing quite an atmosphere.

Unbeatable food

These unique restaurants serve a wide variety of European and French cuisine at reasonable prices. This winter, you can eat three courses from their set a la carte menu for just £13.95. You could start with choux de crab, followed by minute steak and finish off with their white chocolate and pistachio parfait. Don’t forget about their Sunday roasts and cooked breakfast too.

TripAdvisor awarded Little Bay restaurant their Certificate of Excellence 2014 due to its great customer reviews. James said: “Our team works really hard to produce our great food dishes and serve our customers, so they really deserve the praise for their efforts. In fact, we have won a number of awards and certificates over the years which gives us confidence that we are still popular in the community.”

How do they like their virtual tour? James said: “Having a virtual tour is a really exciting addition. Customers can delve deep into our restaurant and examine all the exciting and colourful theatrical décor. It gives customers the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the restaurant and gives them the confidence that our restaurant is the best location for their event or gathering.”
