Hooked on the Rocks

Food with a view
Sea View

If you love Cornwall, fresh food and breathtaking views, you'll love our favourite tour of the week as much as we do. Hooked on the Rocks is a restaurant close to Falmouth town centre and is the ideal place to visit for Cornish seafood and shellfish.

Hooked on the Rocks has a large following and has many customer reviews singing its praises not only for its food, but also its fantastic setting. From the restaurant you can see the gorgeous Swanpool Beach, Falmouth estuary, Pendennis Castle and St Anthony's Lighthouse. While there is plenty of seating indoors for chillier days, you can also grab a bench outdoors to make the most of the view.

As it is such a close distance to the beach and shops, people love to relax here after a day out.

Local delights

Of course, the food is at the heart of this business. The view of the sea has a big influence on the menus, and they love offering their customers sustainable, fresh and local seafood. They cook up fish caught that day by fishermen, as well as steaks and vegetarian options. Perhaps you will go for their seafood goan curry or the more traditional fish and chips? They've also recently introduced a Sunday roast to the menu. Their sharing platters are changed regularly and are the perfect dish for shellfish lovers who want to try something new.

From the virtual tour we created with Hooked on the Rocks, you can see the cool, blue theme creates a relaxed atmosphere. Did you spot anything crawling around indoors? Their crab and lobster tank is a big favourite with customers.

Lunch Al-fresco
Inside Hooked on the Rocks

The restaurant has recently opened again after a few months off during the winter. Even though the weather may not be at its best, there are still plenty of customers who like to lunch outside on the terrace.

Said manager, Emma, "Specials at the moment include our delicious seafood gratin - crab, prawns and cod in a Mornay sauce, topped with a thyme and garlic crust and smoked local Tintagel cheese, served with home-baked foccacia bread."

Take a tour of the restaurant and terrace below and enjoy the wonderful sea view. You can also see their other restaurant, Hooked in the City, which is located in Truro, here.
