Google Agency of the Year
It's celebration time at the Better Reach offices as we’ve just heard that we’re one of the winners in Google’s Business Photo Tour Awards 2013. Not only have we won ‘Agency with the Highest Shoot Count in 2nd Half of the Year’, but we’ve also been named by Google as the ‘Agency of the Year 2013’.
Thanks go to our fantastic team who have worked really hard to achieve this. We’re also incredibly grateful to the wonderful different businesses we’ve worked with all over the UK. Large or small, chains or independents, established or new, conventional or quirky - we’ve had a thoroughly amazing year working with you all.
Cats in a Cafe
We’ve discovered lots of really memorable businesses along the way, too. A few of the recent tours which spring to mind include Britain’s very first Cat Cafe where customers enjoy refreshments whilst cosying up to the resident cats, the magical
Umpa Lumpa Sweet Shop which was like something out of our childhood dreams, and
The Alchemist’s Tea Emporium which transported us back through a time portal to Victorian Britain.
Then there were those customers who came up with some nice ideas on adding their own individual touches to a tour. Like the dog serving behind the counter at Mad Dog Art, and the album covers of famous faces hiding those of customers at Prime Cuts vintage records.
Some of the bigger tours were pretty striking, too. London’s brand new digital Argos store gave us a glimpse into the future and how all shops may look one day. We also loved the acres of peaceful natural burial grounds at Memorial Woodlands near Bristol, the magnificence of Wells Cathedral, and the beautiful Abbey House Gardens in Wiltshire.
And after deciding to venture a little further afield last October, we travelled to New Zealand where one of our favourite tours here was for family run honey business, Happy Valley Honey.
Swiss Trip
The Google Awards are presented to the most prominent achievers from more than 30 Google Trusted Agencies throughout Europe, so we were up against some pretty impressive competition. ‘Agency of the Year’ is the result of fulfilling the highest weekly average of completed shoots for 2013, after being with the Business Photo programme for at least 6 months. We’re looking forward to a trip to Google’s Zurich offices later this month to collect our winner’s plaque.
2013 has been one heck of a ride, we’ve loved every minute of it and we’re chuffed to bits to have had our efforts recognised by Google. Watch this space to find out more about what we're up to this year.
